At Liminal Earth, we prepare for Halloween all year long. It’s the most liminal of all the holidays, first of all.
And second, it’s just awesome. Do we have to say more? But there’s just one big problem:

It’s too damn short!

Only one night where we get to wear costumes, and stay out late eating candy from strangers? Are you kidding That’s why we’re unveiling the new and improved Halloween Super-Holiday: THIRTEEN LIMINAL NIGHTS. And you’re invited!

13 Liminal Nights is one part an extended Halloween celebration, one part initiation into a Mythic Cycle, and one part a way to live your best weird life! It’s based on some concepts and traditions from the ancient Quatrian civilization and adapted and translated to work in our modern world.The origin of the 13 Nights isn’t really important. What’s important is that the rituals are designed to be fun, spooky, and insightful. They’re an excellent inspiration for “remythologizing your landscape,” learning what stories give your life meaning, and helping explore your local Liminal Ecology.

That being said — it won’t always be an easy process. You are stepping into a ritual space that will last 13 days and it is important to follow the steps as they’ve been laid out as you may experience things that make you uncomfortable or creep you out!

These activities are traditionally performed from October 25- November 6, with what most people call “Halloween” sandwiched right there in the middle. But there’s a lot more to them than just an extension of the spooky season. These nights serve as a way to participate in an ongoing process and set of rituals that you can do any time during the year when you might have a personal need for reflection or initiation.
