Na época era muito comum brincarmos com Walkie-talkies e eles tinham um bom alcance. Conseguíamos até falar com um taxista que tinha algum tipo de rádio comunicador no carro. O fato ocorreu por volta das 20h. Já estava bem escuro e a iluminação pública era bastante precária no local. Eu e um amigo estávamos usando os Walkie-talkies e, ironicamente, dizíamos algo como "SOS Planeta Terra" ou "Socorro". Entramos em casa por poucos minutos e quando voltamos para a rua, havia um objeto luminoso a cerca de 40 ou 50 metros do solo. A luz era extremamente forte e não era possível distinguir características da estrutura do objeto. Ele tinha formato levemente ovalado e parecia mesmo ser formado só de luz. Ficamos sem ação e com muito medo. Nao conseguimos nem chamar os adultos. Corremos imediatamente para dentro. Eu fiquei escondido em casa por mais de uma hora. Parece imaginação de criança, mas realmente aconteceu.

We went inside for a few minutes, and when we came back out to the street, there was a luminous object about 40 or 50 meters off the ground. The light was extremely bright, and it was not possible to distinguish features of the object's structure. It had a slightly oval shape and seemed to be made entirely of light. We were paralyzed with fear. We couldn't even call for adults. We immediately ran inside. I hid in the house for over an hour. It sounds like a child's imagination, but it really happened.
