I've always seen things others haven't, ghosts, doors opening by themselves, UFOs, things moving on their own, you name it. That begs the question of what was my first unexplainable sighting, this is it. To set the scene this was near my lover's (now ex's) house with my mother when I was a young, naïve and most of all, clueless, child. Mother and I were walking on some field near his house, until I saw something in my peripheral resembling the shape of a dog. I'd always been very fond of dogs and would run up to them without hesitation, so that's what I had done. Except when I had turned around nothing was there, the fields stretched on for miles without any signs of life, I looked around frantically in a dazed and confused state. Nothing. We were alone. I still remember the feeling of dread that struck me at that moment, it was the type that hit you in the chest and never fully left. I never told my parents, nor anyone asides from now. See, this would've been a little strange and nothing else if one thing didn't happen. I saw that exact same dog on a missing poster a week later: same size, same hazy look in its eyes, and most of all it had that same strange black fur, fluffy but not fluffy enough to be what I thought it was (a German Shepherd) I haven't been to that field since, mainly out of fear, cowardice, and a lack of time.
