It was a year or two after high school, my family frequently rented cabins for weekends and weeks during the summer on Lake Corpus Christi. My dad owned a 22-foot Blue Wave saltwater fishing boat, but he had decked it out to also pull ski's etc behind on the lake. A few times that summer we'd be on the lake and wake would suddenly start out of nowhere like a boat was passing us but we'd see nothing. Then the last time I went with them, as the wake was starting i noticed something just under the surface. I couldn't tell exactly what it was, but it was bigger than anything I had ever seen. I grew up on the beach and water, had firsthand encounters with everything from porpoise to 16–20-foot Hammerhead sharks in the saltwater, 4-6-foot alligator gar, and 6-foot plus American Alligator in fresh-water and the Everglades. This looked like a giant snake the way it moved under the water; it reminded me of an anaconda.
