I was with my Boy Scouts group for a two night camping trip in a military training area near the main Army base that Scouts were permitted to use for camp outs and outings. One night, we were all playing hide and seek in one of the huge concrete training buildings. I was hiding in a room on the second floor when I heard two distinct female voices talking from the floor below me. I immediately thought that the girl who was the seeker had found the only other girl who was there with us (there were only three of us girls and about five or six boys). Shortly after the voices had stopped, I started hearing the girl who was the seeker singing. She was always singing creepy nursery rhymes when she was in these echoey buildings so I didn’t think anything of it. Soon she found me and I asked her where the other girl who she had found was, but she said I was the first person to be found. I was confused and asked her if she had been talking to anyone before she started singing. She was also confused and said no, she hadn’t made a sound before the singing. After the game was over and everyone was all together, I asked everyone if anyone had been talking at all at that point in the game when I had heard voices and they all said no. I still puzzle over this today.
