I live in a very old house, it was built in the 1800’s as a farm house, and has many additions to it that came over the years. There is absolutely nothing standard about the house, a all the windows are strange sizes and the steps are by no means even. The floors creek, as do the doors (This is important, I swear.) The door to my bedroom always opens, then slams shut around 3:30 pm, every day for as long as I’ve lived in the house. For a while, I though it was a draft coming through the windows, but it clearly isn’t, because it happens in winter too, when all the windows are shut. The light source in my room is a touch lamp, and it turns on and off by itself all the time, which has honestly started to get annoying. Eventually, I just started saying “Stop that.” Or “Cut that out.” Any time something like that would happen, and it would stop. The home has had many previous owners, and nothing bad has ever happened there as far as I have researched. The back yard is on a slope that leads down to a creek, and on the hill there are 3 graves. They are very old, and most of the letters have been washed away by many years of weathering. One of the names is readable, and it is “Sarah.” Unfortunately, the last name was too eroded to read, so I couldn’t find an obituary. All I know is that one of them was named Sarah, and they were all previous owners of the house. None of the presences in the home ever feel malicious, and none of their actions have ever been anything more than inconvenient at most.
