This isn't fully my story, nor is it very recent- I'm retelling this through my eyes and memory. I only recently found out about this website, and there aren't many stories from my area. However, I figured I'd tell a story. Around last year, I was hanging out with my friend (anonymously calling her Vi). It was early morning, we were attending an event our younger sisters were at- she looked a bit shaken. I asked her what was up, she described hearing a loud dragging noise last night- like a heavy sack or bag being dragged on rough ground. It was very icy outside, with a bit of snow. She said she'd looked at it in the morning, and there were only large cat prints in the snow. Yes, there are bobcats and mountain lions in our area- but it was too close to her house. I went to her house for a sleepover a few days later. We've always had a history of staying up, so naturally we were up late watching a movie. There was a scraping sound outside, and she paused the movie and froze up. It was sickening, I don't think I'll ever get it out of my head. It paused right outside the window, I swear there was heavy, ragged breathing at the glass. Then it just went back to its activities, and eventually left. Again, large cat prints in the fresh snow. I still don't know what it was, never found a matching story. They're back this year. Only in winter. After the first snow.
