It was September 2015 or 16 (I was young so I don't remember that well) and I had a very vivid dream that I can remember almost photographically even today (not very usual for me as I have aphantasia) In my dream I was standing on a balcony in a school which I'd never been to. The school in my dream looked a bit like the one I was going to but not really, the school I actually went to had only one floor apart from the ground floor, and the railings were maybe 3.5 feet in height, not to mention that the balcony was small and crowded and there weren't any trees near the balcony. But in the dream the balcony was higher than me, around 6 feet with black railings and a thick tree in front. It was the third floor and the tree bore round greenish fruits and there were people around me, which I was trying to recognise as my friends but I couldn't recognise their faces. Then someone started shouting at me in anger, and I climbed up the railings and jumped down, and woke up in cold sweat. I have been born and raised in Lucknow, but in 2021, April both my parents got COVID and nearly died, and due to the pollution levels in my city we all had to permanently move to a hilly area with less pollution. Here I was admitted to a new school, 10th grade, May 2022 and entering the corridor of my classroom I was hit with strong deja vu, and I realised that it was the exact same corridor I'd seen in my dream, 3rd floor, Same people walking around Same tree with the same fruit Same railings And I even wore the same outfit I haven't yet tried to jump off the balcony but I'm starting to believe it was symbolic because my mental health has never been as terrible as it is here, and so have my academic performance. I went from straight As to Cs and even Ds. So a symbolic downfall.
