My house in Bunbury, Western Australia

I was studying for a human biology test with my mum. We were making flashcards on the circulatory system, and behind us we have this big wooden buffet with a bunch of shelves. We keep things like picture frames or sculptures we made in art glass on there, and there was this frosted glass picture frame shaped like a heart that my great-gran (who lives in Queensland) gave to my mum as a gift. It was at the back behind these porcelain salt and pepper shakers that were shaped like two dogs, one black and white and one orange. Now, the picture frame was leaning backwards on the stand and was positioned at the back of the shelf. Randomly, me and my mum heard this crash and the picture frame had somehow defied physics and had knocked the orange pepper shaker dog, which was about 15cm away from the shelf’s edge, over the edge of the buffet and it fell about two metres down onto the ground, and miraculously only chipped and ear (and very slightly, too). I was weirded out about this, and my mum got really worried because as the frame was a gift to her from my great-gran, and my great-gran had just got hip-surgery done and was recovering in hospital. So obviously we were really worried that something bad might have happened to her, but we still haven’t figured out (my mum being a year 11-12 science teacher with her science-y knowledge as well) how the frame managed to defy gravity and physics and tip over. We reached a conclusion that the only way we could do that was to physically push it over, but obviously that didn’t happen… so yeah, I don’t know. Pretty weird.
