This happened when I was about 8 or 9, in my house on the base. I was standing at the top of the stairs looking down and I saw, at the bottom of the stairs kind of off to the side a figure of what looked like a man. The way he looked is hard to explain. It reminded me of when you look at an object in front of a bright light and when you look away you can still see a bright outline of the object. He was the outline. As I looked he faded and I remember being a bit surprised but not alarmed. That was the first of two times I saw him. The second time, (I was about the same age) I was walking down the hallway and he appeared in front of me. I stopped walking, surprised and again he faded after a second or two. Not sure if its related but before my family lived in the house there was a bad fire in the garage. I was never told exactly what happed (being so young) or if anyone died. (In the fire or otherwise.)
