Roman Theater of Lisbon and Church of São Domingos
19-07-2025 / 20-07-2025

On July 19th, I went to visit the Roman theatre of Lisbon. It was incredible to also visit the part of the museum that had the capitals I had studied; seeing them in person is amazing after having studied them, it's like you understand how important they are. After we finished at the museum, we were leaving and my mom noticed that you could enter the Church of São Domingos. I went to join my dad who was sitting on one of the benches inside the church. Out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw something on the altar. I didn't keep looking, but I saw it there must have been something there. I started to get that feeling between my eyes, at the top of my nose, the same feeling I always get when I see something. The rest of the day was normal. Later on, I had a dream about something I can't remember. But I do know the word Diem appeared, and with my eyes still closed, I wondered, "What could that mean?" Out of nowhere, my brain wouldn't stop repeating the phrase "Carpi Diem." I thought it was German and that "Carpi" was the Pokémon. When I woke up, I decided to ask an artificial intelligence what the phrase meant. My question was, "Does "Diem" mean anything in any language?" The answer was, "Yes, Diem means "day" in Latin. It's a very well-known word, especially from the expression "CARPE DIEM," which translates to "seize the day" or "enjoy the day." I HAD NEVER HEARD THIS BEFORE!!!! For the rest of the day, I was left with that incredible feeling of the supernatural, a sort of lightness.
