When I was 12 or 13 I went to my mom’s house over the summer. I spent a lot of time there, but most of the time whenever I went to that house my sleep schedule or eating schedule would always change. One night, I couldn’t sleep and so I just stared at the ceiling unmoving. Over time, I started seeing things on the ceiling before eventually falling asleep. I’ve always had strange dreams but this one felt especially off. I sometimes lucid dream so it felt ordinary until I saw another person in my dream, not like interacting with other people in dreams is unusual but this man was odd. He just stared at me and I him. The strangest thing is that over time every now and then he’d reappear in my dreams and sometimes we’d even have conversations, almost like an acquaintance of my own creating. I thought it was just my brain making up stuff until the last few weeks of my summer spent there I saw the exact same person in public and he didn’t see me but I saw him. I told someone about it, not the full story but the strange sleeping and they said it was probably just insomnia or sleep paralysis
