A tree may be found in the Seattle Arboretum that was detonated by a lightning strike in 2015 according to a Seattle Times article. It splintered radially, forming a circle of debris around the tree. When I visited this space, I found the tree next to a small open area on a warm sunny day. On approaching and entering the circle I felt cold. Placing my hand on the tree, I had a more intense flash of negativity, disorientation, and something akin to emotional pain. It felt like how I would imagine it would sound if a tree could scream in agony. When I stepped outside of the circle I felt warm again.
