On certain warm days in June, staff on a secure research floor at the VA have noticed a strange spot in the corner of their office that they describe as "cold, tingly, and smells like bubble gum," and accompanied by a pleasantly euphoric feeling, akin to childlike joy. In the same Rumors abound of past research that has been done on the floor with radioactive material and olfactory function in veterans with PTSD.
